Follow the steps outlined below to measure, design and install your own misting system. If you want us to design it for you contact us here with your measurements and we will be glad to help.
How To Measure For Your Misting System
You need to take precise measurements, make sure you have a tape measure, a couple of ladders and some help. Be careful to make sure your ladders are always on a stable surface
Linear Misting System
Firstly, do a visual inspection of the area to assess where you want your lines located. This should be at the perimeter of the patio, usually on the fascia or eaves. Secondly, decide where to locate your pump; you will need a water source and an electrical outlet in proximity.
Next begin taking your measurements, length x width x height, making sure you get the full length of where the tubing will be mounted, from corner to corner to avoid coming up short on your tubing, it’s better to be a few inches over and trim down to fit. Figure out where and what type of fittings will be needed. Make note of any obstructions such as light fixtures, speakers, columns, gutters, downspouts or anything else that might interrupt the tubing path, you will need to adjust the measurement to avoid or go around these if necessary. Then measure from the start of the system to your pump location, noting any fittings you may need to join tubing sections together, make corners or tee the lines.
Once you have these measurements you can begin to build your system using our product categories. Alternately, contact us, we will provide an email you can send your measurements and pictures to. We will design your system for you free of charge and send you a quote for what you will need.
